It's Written on Your Face
It’s Written on Your Face is a powerful four-part portrait series that boldly addresses the visual signs of racism, bias, and systemic exclusion. Each piece features words etched as facial tattoos—indelible marks that symbolize the heavy burdens carried by marginalized individuals. This work challenges viewers to engage with the politics of visibility and erasure, urging them to reflect on how society defines differences and perpetuates harm. Created in response to Vancouver’s Year of Reconciliation Public Art initiative, the series underscores the critical need for recognition, justice, and shared accountability in our communities.
