It's Written on Your Face
It’s Written on Your Face is a four-part portrait series that confronts the visual markers of racism, bias, and systemic exclusion. Words are etched as facial tattoos—unavoidable inscriptions that reflect the burdens imposed on marginalized individuals. The work engages directly with the politics of visibility and erasure, compelling viewers to confront the ways society codifies difference and perpetuates harm. Developed in response to Vancouver’s Year of Reconciliation Public Art initiative, the series speaks to the urgency of recognition, justice, and collective accountability.
