Mortal Coil
Mortal Coil investigates the relationship between the body, mental health, and social visibility through a series of intimate large-scale portrait drawings. The work focuses on the disconnect between external legibility and internal experience, examining how suffering, endurance, and survival become embodied over time. Rather than illustrating illness, the drawings function as records of presence, testimony, and persistence. The series occupies the space between vulnerability and resilience, asking viewers to confront experiences that often remain private and unseen.
